How to use Passport Photo Maker

  1. Upload a clear single-person portrait and choose a document reference or Custom template. Read its source and editing/printing restrictions.
  2. Use local face detection for a crop suggestion, then manually align crown and chin to the guides. Official presets retain the original physical background.
  3. Download the digital JPG/PNG, or choose paper, margins, gaps and an available copy count. Generate the sheet and print at Actual Size / 100% with Fit to Page disabled.

Formats, privacy and practical limits

Images are decoded and processed in your browser. MyDocverter receives no image contents. The AI runtime and model files come from this website only, on demand. Standard image exports discard original metadata; check orientation and colour before sharing.

Each input is limited to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Batches support up to 12 images and 50 MB combined input. Output is limited to 16 megapixels. Background masks use a maximum 1,600-pixel longest edge; AI upscaling accepts up to 512 × 512 pixels and produces a genuine 2× result. These safeguards cannot guarantee that every device has enough memory.

Frequently asked questions

Are these government-approved photos?

No. Rules, capture quality, professional printing and the receiving authority determine acceptance. Automatic detection and guides are aids only.

Why is background replacement disabled for an official reference?

Some authorities reject digitally altered images and backgrounds. Take a new photo against a compliant physical background. Custom nonofficial templates can use local AI background replacement.

How many 2 × 2-inch photos fit on 4 × 6 paper?

Six fit mathematically only with zero gaps and margins. Cutting gaps, sheet margins or printer limits can reduce that count. Available choices are calculated from your settings.

Why are some country choices marked custom?

The full current requirements could not be verified. Those templates remain editable references and are not described as officially compliant.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

All tools are free, without accounts, watermarks or subscriptions. Advertising remains inactive in this release.
