Start with the original
Use the highest-resolution original rather than a screenshot or repeatedly compressed copy. Increase exposure for an underexposed image, then adjust brightness, contrast and saturation in small steps. Auto Enhance stretches the tonal range; it is a standard pixel operation, not a neural enhancement.
Choose resizing deliberately
Standard 2× and 4× enlargement interpolate pixels. AI 2× runs the local Swin2SR neural model and accepts inputs up to 512 × 512 pixels. Its output has twice the width and height. AI may invent texture or amplify compression artifacts; it cannot certify the recovery of detail absent from the original.
Check the result before saving
Compare Before and After, especially skin, text and sharp edges. Too much sharpness creates halos, while noise reduction can soften texture. Reset adjustments if needed. Export PNG for transparency or JPEG/WebP for a smaller photographic copy. Keep the original for future edits.
